I met Steve Grossman while serving as the director of correspondence and constituent affairs at the DNC well over a decade ago. It was early in my career and I was extraordinarily fortunate to serve in a position that brought me into contact with him. Through our shared experience I was able to see first hand and early on what defined excellence in leadership: intellect; visionary thinking; discipline; confidence; humility; fairness and respect for others; and the ability to look beyond the hierarchical norms that are prevalent in many institutions, which ultimately block people from realizing their full potential and organizations from maximizing their capacity for success.

Over time Steve became a mentor and a friend, and as I've grown and progressed in my career, he has remained a part of my life. I've had the privilege of working with several extraordinary leaders throughout my career, and I continue to view Steve as the gold standard of leadership. He is an exceptional person, visionary public servant and innovative businessman who will work tirelessly to improve upon the quality of life for Massachusetts and its citizens.
